so we did our first ai + frnds event in dubai where my friend, farza taught me how to make my first app with ai live in front of everybody

and it was awesome. for me and for the audience.

but we thought it was a one off event, something we did just for fun.

till i talked to someone's mother that told me she always thought she's “bad with tech.” and that ai is for younger people, coders, or startups.

till she attended our event. we helped change her beliefs and she actually went back home excited to make stuff with ai.

that reminded me of one of my university professors who also thinks he’s too old for ai.

so i thought it would be cool to change his mind too. live on stage in front of an audience.

that’s when i started planning the vancouver event (since I go to university here).

on feb 8 at 12:30 pm, we had 200 people come to my university lecture hall.

they watched me help my professor make his first website with ai and monetize it live.

we made a website for his new podcast and monetized a quiz for it.

my goal was to have people watch us and go home feeling like they can make something with ai too.

from a silly notes app to a multi million dollar mobile game. with 0 coding experience.

i hope most did.
